PREPARING TO PRESENT

Click here to download our presentation tips. Its wealth of useful information will help give your entry the best chance of impressing the judges.

PRESENTATION EQUIPMENT

Powerpoint is a great tool many of our Finalists use when presenting to our judges. If you wish to use Powerpoint, please remember to bring your own laptop computer with HDMI port to link to the TV screen provided (NB Macs will require your own converter cables). If audio constitutes a major part of your presentation, we urge you to bring your own speakers as we do not provide these. Also, it is usually wise to formulate a contingency plan should things not go as planned. Your presentation should be a vital part of your contribution. Letting technical mishaps stand in the way of doing it justice would truly be a shame. Remember: winners who come prepared, win!

All of the presentation rooms are executive boxes that look over Wembley football pitch.

Presentation rooms

Please check the schedule to see the capacity of the executive box you are presenting in.

The dimensions and equipment for each executive box are as follows:

  • 20 seater boxes = 65.1m2 and contain 2 x 55” TVs (W H D 127.3cm x 83.2cm x 4.4cm)
  • 12 seater boxes = 36.2m2 and contain 1 x 46” TV (W H D 108.3cm x 71.5cm x 4.3cm)

The native resolution for both screens is 1920 x 1080. If the page setup within PowerPoint is set to 16:9, this should work fine.

WIFI ACCESS

The venue provides attendees with WIFI however we cannot vouch for its perfect functionality at the moment of your giving your presentation. A sound preparation strategy would therefore be to download any materials that your presentation depends on, such as video or similar media content, onto your device in advance of giving your presentation. This will eliminate the risk of irksome connectivity issues, affecting your presentation.
